We had a wonderful dinner my son and me. Everything that we order was excellent and the portions generous. The home made crab cakes and the sauce were one of the best I had. I also order the mussels in tarragon sauce as appetizer for my entree and the presentation as well as the portion were great. Also the service was not rushed between service which is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend it. L S
This place is very good. Nice choices for entrees. The Pistachio Alfred with Cajun Shrimp was awesome. Large perfectly cooked spicy shrimp. The Lobster Ravioli was delicious. Wait staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.
Had a great experience for dinner! The dining area is well done and very inviting. The staff was very friendly and very professional. We ordered the chicken saute, steak and fries, and the pulled pork sandwich and it was all fantastic. All the food had great flavor and very generous portions.
Went here for a catered event. Very good experience. No real flaws to speak of but I haven't been able to really explore the menu.
We had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner there for 40 people. They were very helpful, responsive and very attentive. They returned phone calls and emails promptly. They were very friendly and helpful with the set up and service. The food was amazing! Everything from the goat cheese appetizer to the prime rib and seasonal vegetables were just delicious. Evan was very pleasant to work with as this was my first rehearsal dinner to plan. I would highly recommend!
Four of us stopped for lunch on a Friday. There were people but it was not full and were seated immediately. I had the salmon over salad. I really enjoyed it. Salmon was firm but flaky, cook exactly how I wanted it, and had great flavor. It was a good portion and I thought the price was fair. Wait staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable able the entire menu and any kind of substitutions. One mention of not liking an ingredient and she made great suggestions on alternatives. Atmosphere was bright and clean. Tables were a little close but everyone was friendly. The other pics are a chicken sandwich, also looked tasty.
Recently hosted a surprise party in the event space downstairs. Evan was great to work with - very accommodating and excellent communication. The space was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. We brought our own cake which the staff was happy to slice for us, they packaged our leftover food to bring home and helped with decor cleanup. Great prices too. All of my guests were more than happy with how the night went!! I recommend anyone to Evan and the Black Water Grill if hosting a party.
We had our daughter's baby shower in the downstairs function room this past weekend, and everything was just perfect. The manager, Evan, the bartender, Robin, and the waitress, Cloe, could not have done anything better for us. We received so many compliments about the venue and the food from our guests. Many of them said they would be returning to the restaurant for dinner. We definitely would recommend this restaurant for dinners, lunches, and functions, and we can't thank Evan enough for all his help.
